The town of Keighley in West Yorkshire, England is experiencing a whole new world of deliciousness (or perhaps weirdness, to some?) with the new Mr. Crisp sandwich shop that specializes in potato chip sandwiches.
Marc Pearson opened up the innovative eatery this week inspired by the Simply Crispy pop-up café in Belfast that has a similar menu.
Mr. Crisp offers more than 50 varieties of chip options to fill in your sandwich including the British favorites Monster Munch, Hula Hoops and Skips.
In addition to chips, or “crisps” as the Brits say, you can also choose various sauces and spreads to include such as marshmallow crème, ketchup, salad dressing and chocolate.
"We live in a time where people want things quickly, especially in the business world, and a crisp sandwich certainly offers them that and a wide selection of flavors that you would struggle to find in any other sandwich,” said Pearson in a recent interview with British news source, Mirror.
Pearson, 42, said he had the idea for this kind of shop for a long time before pursuing it. After sharing his concept on social media and receiving positive feedback; he was even more motivated to make his dream a reality and open up Mr. Crisp.
Twitter users are already planning trips into Yorkshire for a chance to experience Mr. Crisp's munchies induced combinations.
All of a sudden, my general diet of crisps and chocolate seems healthy ... I could not be a Yorkshireman.— Alex Caraher (@Mr_AJCaraher) July 30, 2015
