LOS ANGELES: Hollywood mega star Tom Cruise is using social networking to urge his fans to send donations for the people affected by unprecedented floods in Pakistan.

Pakistan's floods have caused a great deal of panic and sympathy in the hearts of people all around the World. Recently, Hollywood mega star, Tom Cruise called upon his fan club to donate generously for the flood affected people in Pakistan.

Tom Cruise’s Twitter message reads: “People of Pakistan, our thoughts R with U.” He asks his fans to send $10.00 via their mobile phones by texting “Flood” to 27722. Each message sent will result in $10.00 going toward the relief effort.

Following Cruise’s lead, hopefully more Hollywood stars will encourage their fans to donate to the Pakistan flood relief effort and make personal donations.  Angelina Jolie, a Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations, has pledged $100,000 of her own money to help the flood relief effort in Pakistan, and says that she may visit the country once "the cameras go away."
