Rage Against The Machines guitarist Tom Morello is in no mood to welcome the nomination of Paul Ryan for Vice President in a hospitable manner. Despite the fact that Paul Ryan had previously cited Rage Against The Machines as his favorite band, Tom’s opinion about Paul Ryan remains completely contrary.

In an op-ed that was published in Rolling Stones, Tom blasts Mitt Romney’s new VP choice as the ‘embodiment of the machine our music rages against’.
The guitarist goes a step further in painting Ryan as antithetical to progress and compares him to Charles Manson. He further goes on to say that Ryan does has rage, but that rage is against women, rage against immigrants, rage against workers, rage against the poor and the environment.

Morello also said that Ryan’s focus and guiding vision is directed radically to the one percent and this clearly manifests his indifference towards the problems faced by a majority of Americans. From the tone and style of Morello’s letter, one thing is dead sure.
No matter how many more times does Paul Ryan claim to be influenced and entertained by the music of Rage Against The Machines, its not going to make any difference on the band and their voting choices.
