Retired United States Air Force Colonel Morris Davis called out another one of Donald Trump’s hypocrisies, adding to the very fruitful list that just keeps growing.
Last week, Trump was heavily criticized for saying he thinks Islam “hates” the United States. In addition to the fact that he had no substantial grounds to make such a declaration, he was also condemned for the pure ignorance associated with the generalization that all 1.6 billion Muslims, worldwide, hate America.
Col. Davis took to Twitter to further denounce Trump’s rhetoric by revealing, “Had he not ducked military service 5 times he might have been less ignorant.” He also included a photograph of the gravestone of a fallen Muslim member of the U.S. Army.
It would seem that Davis' claims are indeed true and Trump dodged the military draft five times during the Vietnam War. This is significant because a major part of his appeal to his supporters is the fact that they believe he knows how to rid the world of ISIS and that he can handle tense international affairs.
Several of his supporters are actually right-wing military veterans as well. If they knew that Trump skipped out on several opportunities to fight for his country, would they still show such diehard allegiance to him?
During the Vietnam War, Trump received a series of student deferments so he could attend Fordham University and the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business, according to deathandtaxes.com.
While ditching the military to pursue higher education may not be deemed a “bad” thing, he had another chance to serve after he graduated but was given a medical exemption for a foot injury that declared him “ineligible” for combat.
“Bone spurs” on the heels of his feet were the injuries that led to the medical deferment, which some think is bogus because Trump played sports in college and even won trophies for his talents.
The only military affiliation Trump has ever had was while he attended a private military prep school in upstate New York.

Trump evading the military also goes back to negative comments he made about former POW and 2008 Republican presidential nominee, John McCain.
“He’s not a war hero. He’s a war hero because he was captured. I like people that weren’t captured,” Trump said of McCain.
That’s easy for someone to say who hasn’t had to fight in a single war a day in his life.
Rich, entitled young Trump was clearly as shady and manipulative back then as he is now considering he was able to dodge the draft so many times.
