Donald Trump might be the most notorious president-elect in recent history, and because of him, Washington, D.C., is bracing itself for a crowd of 900,000 people for the inauguration day, according to D.C. Department of Homeland Security and Emergency Management.

Much of the crowd will not be there to attend the swearing-in ceremony but will be part of the dozens of protests planned in the city.

Although the Women’s March on Washington has been making headlines since November, there are other major grassroots organizations that have planned demonstrations.

One of them is #InaugurateTheResistance, a movement by ANSWER Coalition, which will call for a political revolution and an end to militarism, war, racism and anti-immigrant semantics.

DisruptJ20 will attempt to cause massive delays at the security checkpoints going in to the inauguration ceremony through a march that will travel about a mile and a half to McPherson Square Park, just a few blocks from the White House.

Trump420, a movement by marijuana advocates, will fight for the legalization of marijuana and will hand out 4,200 weed joints to the public on the morning of the inauguration. Four minutes and 20 seconds into the inauguration, the demonstrators will be encouraged to light them up.

Occupy Inauguration purports to “build a new independent coalition movement for the 99% that stands outside the stranglehold duopoly of the GOP and DNC.” Some of their goals are to end mass deportation, attacks on human rights, honor indigenous treaty rights, end corporate rule and demand affordable and accessible healthcare.

One of the speakers for the rally will be the Green Party’s Jill Stein.
