Donald Trump's campaign has disavowed the comments made by the presumptive nominee's former butler in a statement released on Thursday afternoon.
"Tony Senecal has not worked at Mar-a-Lago for years, but nevertheless we totally and completely disavow the horrible statements made by him regarding the President," campaign spokeswoman Hope Hicks said.
The business mogul's longtime butler Athony Senecal confirmed to CNN that he did write the heinous social media post and even elaborated further on how he wanted to see the president die.
"I think I said hung," Senecal clarified in a phone interview with CNN.
"Either way, I don't care. Hanging, shooting -- I'd prefer he'd be hung from the portico of the White House, or as I call it, the white mosque," Senecal said.
"Does it sound like I'm nuts? Because I'm not," he added. "I've just gotten fed up with him (Obama)."
Senecal even took jabs at Hillary Clinton, nicknaming her "killery" on social media.
Trujmp's xenophobic rhetoric has clearly established a strong following the real estate tycoon can't shake off. Whether he rejects the comments or not, Trump is, once again, associated with an extreme bigot.
For today’s nugget in the how-much-more-ridiculous-can-the-Trump-campaign get, the Secret Service announced it has begun an investigation into Donald Trump’s historian and former butler of 17 years.
Anthony Senecal, who was Trump’s butler up until 2009 and is now his "historian," has made repeated death threats to President Obama on his Facebook page, which is reportedly sprinkled with Confederate flags and racist slogans.
According to Mother Jones, Senecal recently wrote in a post,
"To all my friends on FB, just a short note to you on our pus headed "president" !!!! This character who I refer to as zero (0) should have been taken out by our military and shot as an enemy agent in his first term !!!!! Instead he still remains in office doing every thing he can to gut the America we all know and love !!!!! [sic]"
Last month, Senecal, 84, wrote on his Facebook page that Obama “should be hanged” and that former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is a “lying, deceiving c*!#^!”
Neither Trump, nor his campaign, has offered a statement of explanation or apology at the time this report was filed.
