Smile! Turkish Women LOL When Politician Tells Them To Stop Laughing Publicly

Why so serious? Turkish women laugh down a politician's demand to stop laughing in public.

Laughter is the best medicine -- and the best way to deal with a backward politician who thinks women shouldn't laugh in public.

Turkish women are LOL'ing over Deputy Prime Minister Bülent Arinc's speech that women in Turkey mustn't laugh in public to "preserve morality."

If smiling women is a sign of Turkey's falling morals, it might be the most immoral place on Earth -- because Turkish women are fighting back with smiling, laughing, giggling photos plastered all over social media.

Turkey's laughing ladies are using the hashtag #direnkahkaha, or "resist laugh," to show Arinc he can't wipe the smiles from their faces. And they're getting plenty of international support from their sisters in solidarity.

It's good Turkey's women are in such a laughing mood because Arinc's caveman opinions are nothing to giggle at.

"Where are our girls, who slightly blush, lower their heads and turn their eyes away when we look at their face, becoming the symbol of chastity?" he wondered before saying that women also should stop talking on cell phones so much.
