The two women couldn’t be bothered with anything as mundane as food or drink for nearly eight hours. They just kept quarrelling until they simply couldn’t.

Chinese swimmer Fu Yuanhui may be the country’s favorite Olympian this year, but two women in Northwest China can easily win a medal for marathon quarreling.

That’s right. These women reportedly collapsed in the middle of a street in Ankang, Shaanxi province, from exhaustion incurred after nearly eight hours of “non-stop” arguing.

The two unnamed women were squabbling over some debt issues. The argument extended for nearly eight hours and neither one of them took a break to eat or even drink water.

The police arrived at the scene and offered to have the women to settle their dispute in court. However, the women rejected their advice.

Since, it was a hot day, dehydration eventually got the better of the two and they collapsed. In fact, the Post reports one of them started “foaming at the mouth.”

The women were immediately rushed to a local hospital. They are believed to be in a stable condition.

Bizarre street arguments are not uncommon in China, apparently. Just last month, two women were caught on camera fighting over a man, who was dating both of them at the same time.

In the video, as the man sat on his knees between the two love rivals, the women at one point tried to drag him on the road. In the end, both the women gave up and started slapping the man.
