Two men were attempting to catch digital creatures in the popular Pokémon game when both of them fell from a cliff in Encinitas, California.

Pokémon Go” players continue to live on the edge as they dangerously risk their lives to catch the digital creatures.

Two unidentified 20-year-olds were discovered by firefighters, one man was found 90 feet and the other 50 feet at an Encinitas beach after they fell off of a cliff, according to Mashable.

The men were hunting for a certain character when they accidentally fell over the edge of the cliff.

Officers who responded to the incident said that “the men got distracted while trying to catch Pokémon,” Fox59 reported.

Sgt. Rich Eaton of the San Diego County Police Department told The Huffington Post, “This is just a game, please don’t lose your life over a game. Pay attention to your surroundings.”

The gamers sustained moderate injuries and were sent to Scripps La Jolla Hospital.

Unfortunately, this isn’t the first incident where Pokémon Go gamers faced danger

Recently, two people from Ohio hopped a fence at the Toledo Zoo to try and catch the fantasy creatures.

A driver in New York also ran into a tree after being distracted by his Pokémon game.

“Pokémon Go” lovers need to realize that their own lives are more important than a fad game app on their smartphones, because possibly dying over a game is not worth it.
