When you watch this Beatles cover band layer in harmonies over a single guitar, you can be lulled into thinking that their lives are pleasant and simple. The reality is much more complicated. In October, they lived in Tacloban off the main island of the Philippines. In November, Typhoon Haiyan slammed Tacloban, killing over 10,000 people and wrecking many homes, including that of the REO Brothers.
The disaster forced them to move to Manila, the capital and largest city in the Philippines. There they started singing in clubs. That started their meteoric rise, which now has them singing on television for a national audience.
Their thoughts, however, are never far from home.
