UK Police Attacked a Blind Man (Video)

British police have apologized for tasering Colin Farmer, a blind pensioner after mistaking a visual aid stick the man was carrying for a samurai sword.

The police have apologized and while the man has yet to decide whether to take the matter further, he is struggling to understand why there was a need for such force in the situation. Police say Farmer was mistaken for a man reportedly carrying a samurai sword. The incident has been referred to Britain's Independent Police Complaints Commission.

This attack first, as questions later mode of conduct by security personnel is not a sole incident. Earlier this month, a student at the University of South Alabama, was killed by a campus police officer while on a night out. He was naked and unarmed.
