During the vice presidential debate Vice President Joe Biden went after Rep. Paul Ryan aggressively saying, “With all due respect, that’s a bunch of malarkey.”
Biden made the statement in the very beginning of the debate as both of them discussed Libya and the attack on US consulate in Benghazi that killed ambassador Chris Stevens. Biden appeared exasperated, and repeatedly laughed at Ryan’s answers he disagreed with.
At another place he also called one of Ryan’s answers a ‘bunch of stuff’. Audience on the internet were quick enough to respond to this and hashtags such as #bunchofstuff and #Malarkey began trending on Twitter.
Here is how the internet reacted to it.
Another one tweeted:
In order to make up for Barack Obama’s lackluster performance against Mitt Romney, Biden had to take an aggressive stance against Ryan from the very beginning. And his usage of words like malarkey conforms to his strategy.
