One of the most famous moments of the 2012 vice presidential debate between Joe Biden and Paul Ryan came when Ryan attempted to defend his tax plan. Debate moderator Martha Raddatz pressed GOP vice presidential nominee to provide specifics on how he and presidential nominee Mitt Romney would pay for their tax proposal.

While Ryan was trying to answer the question (without going into many details) Biden argued that it was not mathematically possible. However, Ryan remained firm on his stance saying Kennedy had done it.

BIDEN: It has never been done before.

RYAN: It's been done a couple of times.

BIDEN: It has never been done before.

RYAN: Jack Kennedy lowered tax rates and increased growth. Ronald Reagan --

BIDEN: Oh, now you're Jack Kennedy.

RYAN: Ronald Reagan --

(LAUGHTER)

BIDEN: This is amazing.

A similar incident and perhaps the most famous vice presidential moment in history took place in 1988 when Democrat Lloyd Bentsen mocked the young Republican Dan Quayle when he compared himself to John F. Kennedy.

Biden attempted to do something similar this time, for old time sake.
