The Icelandic ash cloud has caused further havoc for passengers as yet more flights have been grounded. Edinburgh, Glasgow, Prestwick, Stornoway, Benbecula, Tiree, Islay, Barra, Campbeltown and Inverness are all closed and will remain so until this evening. Airspace over Northern Ireland is also affected with Derry airport closed until 7pm. Belfast International and Belfast City will also be closed from 1pm. Carlisle, Blackpool, Liverpool and Manchester may also close later in the day depending on the ash forecast. The Civil Aviation Authority is also warning that the situation "remains changeable" and is urging passengers travelling from airports in Scotland, Northern Ireland, the north of England and North Wales to contact their airlines to check for cancellations.
