It was reported by the university school newspaper, The Crimson White, that the Tuscaloosa Police interrupted a get-together claiming the music was too loud and they had received complaints.

One of the officers said a male inside the apartment was under arrest, but didn’t provide any reason or charges. When the guy — later identified as a student at the university — refused to go with the officer, he proceeded to drag him out, tase him and hit him with his night-stick as other officers barged into the apartment and detained another student.
