Jack Wu isn’t shy about his beliefs. He believes that public education system is preparing students to be liars, thieves and murderers and this is precisely the reason he is running for a chance in the Kansas Board of Education to refurbish the system from the inside.
Wu is a Republican candidate for the Kansas Board of Education and an advocate of the highly contentious Westboro Baptist Church, a far-right congregation best known for their rigid stance on gay marriages and picketing of military funerals.
He also believes that evolution is a Satanic lies and that most of us are going to hell. In other words, Wu is a complete nightmare, but he doesn’t really care what we think of him. “The truth matters more than the opinion of other men and women. The Bible says if you're hated by other people for taking a stance that's not popular, it's like a sign you're chosen by God, almost” he said.

Nevertheless, his democratic opponent Carloyn Campbell is taking him seriously. It’s a critical time for Kansas, as the state looks forward to adopt new standards that would teach evolution and eliminate creationism entirely. Wu is obviously against these changes.
He has also claimed that Harry Potter promotes witchcraft; therefore, in case he gets selected his next target after evolution will be imposing an everlasting ban on Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings series.
