A 55 pound wild boar stumbled into a shopping mall in Chai Wan, a suburb of Hong Kong, China on Sunday leading to a four-hour standoff between police and the female beast, according to the South China Morning Post.
At 6:30 p.m. the pig wandered into the children’s clothing store and climbed above the store’s false ceiling causing two staff members to flee the scene. The boar then punched through the ceiling and fell to the floor.
"It just came in out of nowhere, and turned around at the show window," the store's manager said. "It also pushed open the fitting room door and got in... Pigs are actually not stupid."
Wild boars roam the Hong Kong countryside and are known to attack humans. The boar then continued its tirade by knocking down a mannequin, biting its head and getting trapped in a changing room.
Ten police officers approached the scene, but a veterinarian was the one who saved the day by eventually injecting a tranquilizer into the animal. The boar was then taken to an animal management center for observation.
