WEST HOLLYWOOD -- A woman believed to be suffering from mental issues is under arrest after sheriff's deputies say she stabbed four shoppers at a West Hollywood Target store. Three women and a man were stabbed and taken to area hospitals. A mother holding her baby was stabbed in the neck and was taken to the hospital, where she was in stable condition, Los Angeles County sheriff's spokesman Steve Whitmore said. The baby was unhurt and all four victims were expected to survive. The sheriff's office said Layla Rosetta Trawick, 35, from Antioch, Calif., started stabbing people, apparently at random, on Monday afternoon.Sheriff's Sgt. Josh Mankini said an off-duty deputy who was shopping pulled out his gun and ordered Trawick to the ground. The off-duty deputy was identified as Clay Grant Jr., who is assigned to the Men's Central Jail in downtown Los Angeles, Capt. Michael Parker said. He turned the corner and saw the woman carrying two bloody knives, including a butcher knife.
