To endure a testy interrogation from desperate, willful Republicans and still come out strong, you sure have to have a lot of stamina and perseverance. Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton proved she has got those winning presidential qualities after surviving an 11-hour testimony.
As she left the hearing, a Yahoo News reporter asked how she could endure a marathon of tedious grilling, to which Clinton responded by flexing her muscles and confirming “yoga always helps.”
Clinton’s yoga commitment has certainly made its impression on her personal and political life. Her friends told the New York Times that she has more energy from practicing. Standing up to a committee designed to destroy the former secretary of state and enduring a volatile campaign can make most individuals sluggish and defeated, but Clinton’s strong resilience and ability to keep her cool have given her the political boost she greatly needed after a disappointing summer.
Clinton’s strong debate performance coupled with her relentless determination during the Benghazi hearing has upped her poll numbers significantly. Yoga has shown to help people better cope with stress and handle life’s challenges. The candidate’s grace and composure recently in the public eye proves yoga is indeed helping.
