Alexander Kinyua, a 21-year-old electrical engineering student from Morgan State University not only killed a man who had been living with his family for months, but also ate his heart and a portion of his brain. The victim’s severed head and hands were found outside a church in a trash container.
The case came into limelight when Kinyua’s father that the victim Agyel-Kodie went missing after going for a jog, however, investigations eventually led back to the family home resulting in the arrest of Alexander, who confessed to the detectives in charge of not only killing the man but eating a part of his brain and heart as well.
Details revealed by university officials show Alexander to be growing increasingly troubled as his third year at university came to a close.
In January he was dismissed from the ROTC program following an outburst, and in May he was arrested for allegedly fracturing the skull of his classmate with a baseball bat. Despite Kinyua’s confession, police officials are still unclear about the actual motive behind such a hideous crime.
The case comes on the heels of some gruesome incidents that took place in Miami a few days ago in which a man believed to be high on synthetic drugs known as ‘bath salts’ literally ate another man’s face. The victim of that gruesome incident is still under treatment as doctors think it will take months to rebuild his facial features.
