Triple H may have outlasted 29 other wrestlers to become WWE world heavyweight champion for the ninth time, but it was someone else who stole the spotlight at the Royal Rumble this year.
Although there had been a lot of speculation about the former TNA and New Japan star coming to WWE, the crowd went wild with excitement when AJ Styles made his debut — shown in the video above — as the third entrant at the professional wrestling pay-per-view event.
However, before making his incredible entrance, Styles was kept in a production truck where he talked about his next big opportunity.

"Everything's going through my mind right now,” he said. “What's it going to be like? How are they going to respond to me? How is the WWE Universe gonna respond to AJ Styles? That's all going through my head and a number of other things. But I'm glad to be here.”
Asked about the WWE Heavyweight title, Styles replied: “The WWE Title being on the line, does it get much better than that? Does the opportunity get much better than that? I have as much right to be WWE Champ than anyone else in that ring and I'm going to take advantage of it."
