Alabamians have a saying about the annual football matchup between the state's two most storied universities, Alabama and Auburn.
"This isn't life or death, it's more important."
The rivalry game, called the Iron Bowl, took place Saturday and it turned out to be one of the most exciting college football games ever.
With the game tied, Alabama attempted a 57-yard field goal with one second left. The attempt fell short and it was caught by Auburn's Chris Davis in the back of the end zone. Davis then ran 109 yards for a touchdown to take down the defending national champion.
The video above shows Alabama and Auburn fans react as they watched the missed field and then Davis' return. Auburn fans are so excited they don't appear to control their bodies. On the other side, Alabama fans seem to be in shock after just witnesses a great traumatic event.
If you even questioned the passion of college football fans in Alabama, or The South in general, check out the video and ask yourself this question: Is there anything in the world that would make you act like that?
