Two weeks have passed since their big World Cup win but the United States women's national soccer team is still making history.
This time it's the news that the team's star forward Alex Morgan will be one of the first female footballers to appear on the regional cover of EA Sports' world renowned video game series, FIFA.
EA Sports' covers have been an all-male affair until now, but its upcoming FIFA 16 title will be sold in the U.S. with Morgan's image on it alongside Lionel Messi.
Similarly, other regional covers will have their female stars on it. For instance, the Canadian cover will feature Christine Sinclair while Steph Catley will appear on the Australian version.
Morgan broke the news of her selection herself by tweeting the cover of the upcoming FIFA 16.
EA Sports really stepped up its game with regards to the women's game as FIFA 16 won't just have female players on the cover, but it will also have 12 women's national teams in the game. These efforts will surely boost the Beautiful Game's popularity among the ladies and soften up the male dominance over it.
