Athlete Mahiedine Mekhissi Shoves Mascot After Winning (Video)

Why such aggressive attitude even after winning? French runner Mahiedine Mekhissi-Benabbad shoved a mascot after winning the 3,000 meter steeplechase at the European athletics championship in Helsinki.

One reason for his anger can be that customarily winners are greeted by a flower girl. So maybe Mekhissi-Benabbad was disappointed that instead of a girl he was being greeted by a mascot. But what he did not realize that the mascot was indeed a 14-year-old girl. Or maybe he has something against mascots since this is not the first time he has done something like this.

Either way, it was quite a dumb thing to do, especially after winning.
