A youth hockey coach was arrested in Vancouver, BC, after tripping a 13-year-old player in postgame handshake held between UBC Hornets and Richmond Steel. Hornets coach, Martin Tremblay said that the tripping was an accident, but parents immediately contacted police and the coach was arrested and charged with assault.
Even though investigators are now reviewing witness statements and video of the incident to unveil further details, the incident has clearly cast a pall over the University of British Columbia's Thunderbird Arena, which was hosting the game between the two teams.
