FLORHAM PARK, N.J. — Darrelle Revis, the All-Pro cornerback who missed the Jets’ last game with a concussion, was cleared for contact Thursday, Coach Rex Ryan said before practice.
Ryan was asked several times if Revis would definitely play Sunday against Miami, but said only that he would rely on the team’s doctors and trainers for a recommendation.
Revis was inadvertently kicked in the head by Jets linebacker Bart Scott while trying to make a tackle in the fourth quarter of a season-opening victory over Buffalo on Sept. 9. Revis did not play in the Jets’ 27-10 loss Sunday to the Pittsburgh Steelers, just the third time he missed a game because of injury in his six-year N.F.L. career. Revis dressed in full pads and practiced with the Jets Wednesday, but his participation was limited.
