Lubomir Visnovsky of Anaheim led NHL defencemen in points last season

Anaheim Ducks defenseman Lubomir Visnovsky is expected to be sidelined for a month after breaking a finger on his right hand in Friday's win over the Vancouver Canucks, the Ducks said Saturday.

Visnovsky, 35, broke the finger when hit with a shot late in the third period of Anaheim's 4-3 victory. Surgery will not be required.

He has one goal and three assists in 16 games this year after leading all National Hockey League defensemen with 68 points last season.

Anaheim Ducks' defenseman Lubomir Visnovsky (R) knocks Nashville Predators' left wing Nick Spaling off the puck during the second period of Game 6 of their NHL Western Conference quarter-final hockey series in Nashville, Tennessee, April 24, 2011.
