Two Filipino Divers Are Instant Legends After Their Awful Flops

Things were off to a good start – then this happened.

They scored a zero but won the Internet.

Two Filipino divers are online sensations after scoring zeros with their incredibly awful flops at the 2015 Southeast Asian Games in Singapore.

While John Elmerson Fabriga landed awkwardly on his back during the 3-meter springboard diving finals, teammate John David Pahoyo botched his dive when he entered the water feet first on his attempt.

Although both of them scored zero points, they laughed it all off saying they are nevertheless proud to represent their country.

“I even laughed at myself after I did this dive,” Pahoyo wrote in a comment on the Facebook page SGAG, tagging his teammate Fabriga. “I am still proud because not all of us has the privilege to represent our own country to such a big sporting event like this. And by the way can I ask all of you if you can still smile after getting embarrassed in front of thousands of people?”
