The video of Florida State University quarterback De'Andre Johnson hitting a woman at a bar confirms that the freshman is every bit the jerk most of us think he is.

Released by the Florida State Attorney’s Office, the CCTV footage shows the victim having drinks with her friends at the bar when Johnson pushes into her from the back and practically shoves her to make way for himself at the counter.

Some folks argue that the woman was the first to assume a punching stance and take a swing, but there is little doubt that Johnson's pushing and shoving made her do that. Moreover, while she barely touched her with her wrong handed swing, the 6-foot-1, 178-lb. footballer was right on the money.

As per court information, the female victim suffered bruising on one eye, swelling on a cheek and upper lip as well as a cut on the nose.

CNN reported that Johnson, 19, surrendered himself at a local police station last week and has since been charged with battery. Meanwhile, FSU dismissed him from the team, meaning that his once promising football career could already be over.

Under the guidance of coach Jimbo Fisher, he could've one day blossomed into an NFL-level quarterback, but the video above may now never let that happen.

It's likely the video will remind some of the infamous Ray Rice incident where the former Raven was castigated even though the victim in his case had forgiven him minutes after the incident. In Johnson's case, however, the victim is pressing charges and had a black eye during her meeting with State's attorney Willie Meggs last week.

While definitely talented, nutcases like Johnson should have no place in both college football and the NFL.
