Two Championship rings, four MVP titles and multiple lucrative endorsements, LeBron James has accomplished a lot in his career, but none of these things are unprecedented. So what did the Bron man do? He performed an in-game maneuver that no man, either dead or alive, has ever pulled off.
In the Miami Heat’s 102-96 win over the Detroit Pistons on Monday night, James was jostling at the defensive end with Greg Monroe. While others would have continued taking it from the Pistons’ big man, the reigning MVP’s clever brain made a super quick decision to flop when Monroe’s elbow was in the proximity of his face.
Oh wait, there’s more to this story. The ref didn’t buy the first flop, but it didn’t dampen the spirit of King James, who then proceeded to deliver another trademark #LeBroning moment. And this time, he successfully managed to fool the ref into blowing an offensive foul on Monroe.
If it wasn’t before, James’ name will now surely be in the history book of disgraceful plays.
