Louisville guard Kevin Ware was out of his hospital bed within 24 hours of suffering a horrible leg injury during the Elite Eight in the 2013 NCAA Tournament and was using crutches to get around his hospital room.

Louisville guard Kevin Ware was out of his hospital bed within 24 hours of suffering a horrible leg injury during the Elite Eight in the 2013 NCAA Tournament and was using crutches to get around his hospital room.

The 20-year-old is in good spirits even going through probably the most gruesome injury ever. At the time he suffered the injury concerned and weeping teammates came to his help but the brave player kept on repeating, “Just win the game. I am Ok. Just win the game.”

Louisville coach Rick Pitino visited Ware at the hospital on Monday and also brought the victory trophy awarded to their team for defeating Duke. Kenny Klein, who’s the Senior Associate Athletic Director for Media Relations at Louisville, tweeted a picture of his visit:

He also tweeteda picture of Ware getting around his hospital room on crutches.

Coach Pitino said in an interview after his visit that Ware will join the team to the Final Four at the Georgia Dome.

We wish the spirited Louisville guard a quick and speedy recovery.
