Mexican wrestler Perro Aguayo Jr., 35, died Saturday night after what appeared to be an in-ring accident.
Aguayo was in a tag-team match with against former WWE stars Rey Mysterio Jr. and Xtreme Tiger. (Warning: The video may be hard to watch for some fans.) After taking a dropkick from Mysterio, Aguayo appeared to be unconscious as his body just hung on the ropes. Mysterio and the other participants were unaware of the seriousness of the situation and kept sparring. Aguayo was later pronounced dead upon arrival at a local hospital.
Sources at the hospital report that Aguayo passed away from cervical spine trauma due to the ring ropes snapping his neck. What a tragedy.
