These are tough times for fans of the Minnesota Timberwolves. In Kevin Love, they've lost the face of their franchise, and all they have to show in return are a couple of talented – but unfinished – prospects.
To mock their misfortune and the years of struggles lying ahead, one T-Wolves fan decided to not go to the team's first home game of the season against Detroit Pistons, despite having the ticket.
Instead of just wasting it, he taped the ticket on a pole with a funny little note:
The desperate gesture of a forlorn fan is understandable: The Timberwolves no longer have a superstar and they dropped the opening game of the season away to the Memphis Grizzlies. But, as it turned out, the Timberwolves looked better on home court against the Pistons, and actually won the game 91-97.
Moreover, with a near capacity crowd of 18,296 at Target Center, it seems not everyone shares the said fan's lack of enthusiasm about the Wolves.
So to any potential unsupportive fans out there – think twice before turning your back on your team. You team might actually show up.
