Disturbing footage of a New York Jets fan punching a New England Patriots female supporter after a National Football League (NFL) matchemerged on the internet over the weekend.

The ugly incident occurred at the exit gates of MetLife Stadium on Sunday following the Jets’ 30-27 win over the Patriots.

In the video, the woman can be seen pushing a man wearing a Wayne Chrebet jersey (No. 80) who then punches her in the face.

Deadspin obtained the footage from someone called Rob who said the fight started in the stands with two girls fighting.

Beer was thrown and clothing over the balcony. Security went after the guy. Didn't see what happened after that,” Rob was quoted as saying.

An unnamed Jets spokesperson told The New York Daily News, “We are aware of the situation and we do not tolerate that behavior. Parties involved were detained and this matter is now in the hands of the New Jersey State Police.”

The New York Post reported that the alleged attacker was a bartender who was once jailed for fatally stabbing a teenager.

Kurt Paschke, 38, was convicted of criminally negligent homicide and sentenced to nearly four years in prison for killing Henri Ferrer, 17, of Bay Shore during a fight outside a Sayville pizzeria in 1992,” according to the NY Post.

Paschke was reportedly found guilty of murder but was convicted a lesser charge since he was 17 years old at that time.
