It just cannot get any better than this. Nike has always been known for making star-laden adverts for every major football tournament, and with their latest ad Euro 2012, there seems to be no exception. In their latest ‘My Time Is Now’ advert reputed sports brand has once again gathered the elite of football.
The ad opens with a match between France and Netherlands, when in a split second the field is stormed by a gaggle of young talent, including the likes of players like Mario Gotze and Brazilian sensation Neymar.
Other than this the top notch brigade includes everyone from Portuguese powerhouse Christiano Ronaldo, even though he arrives last in the field to Spanish stars Gerard Pique and Andreas Iniesta, German giant Mesut Ozil along with French and Dutch stars Franck Ribery and Wesley Sneijder respectively.
Along with this the ad also stars a rather unexpected guest in the form of basketball champ LeBron James as Nike celebrates the hunger and impatience of the upcoming battalion of football giants.
According to Nike, Global Football Marketing Director, Carlos Homedes, “Young players will stop at nothing to prove they’re good enough to play with the best in the game.”
The unstoppable spirit among the youth for football does fill the advert with an exciting energy, but we have just one complain though…why are EPL stars star like Wayne Rooney or Frank Lampard absent?
