Normally tennis players, especially during a tournament as important as the French Open, would spend rain delays by either staying on the court or visiting the locker room to put their feet up.
Novak Djokovic, however, does things a little differently.
During his opening round match at the French Open on Monday, Djokovic sat on the bench while play was suspended due to rain. He was up 6-1, 5-2 on Portugal’s Joao Sousa.
Much to the ball boy’s surprise, who stood over him with an umbrella, the Serbian former world No. 1 invited the kid to his bench, shared an umbrella, and had a drink together.
Djokovic even let the him hold his racquet while taking command of the umbrella.
