Novak Djokovic Makes Ball Girl Cry At Wimbledon

It’s not the first time the Serbian former world No. 1 has misbehaved on court. In April, he scared a ball boy while snatching his towel from him.

Apart from being one of the top seeds, Novak Djokovic is also known for his friendly behavior both on-court and off-court.

For instance, just last year during the French Open, the Serbian former world No. 1 made headlines when he invited a ball boy to his bench, shared an umbrella and had a drink with him.

But then Djokovic will do a 180 and act like a complete jerk.

For the second time in almost three months, he lost his cool during a match and scared a ball girl, reducing her to tears.

During his fourth-round match with Kevin Anderson, Dojokivc screamed at a ball girl: While “requesting his towel amid the afternoon mugginess, the 28-year-old screamed in her direction and held his hands out in anger,” according to Mail Online. “The girl was left visibly shaken and stifling tears, according to sources on the court.”

Soon after the incident hit the news, Djokovic said he would apologize to the girl.

“I'm sorry. There was nothing towards her. Maybe she was just afraid of my screaming there," he said. "I was pretty close to her. I'm definitely going to try to apologize to her if I did something wrong."

Earlier in April, the tennis star lost his temper in a similar manner at the Miami Open in a match against long-time rival Andy Murray.

A furious Djokovic shouted loudly at his support camp and at the same time, unconsciously, snatched his towel from the ball boy, who visibly looked startled and quickly got out of the way.

He later released an apology video, saying he had absolutely no intention whatsoever to hurt him or scare him in any way.
