The internet is flooding with topless photos of people who have come together to support Jackie Chamoun, a skier from Lebanon competing at the Sochi Olympics.
Temperatures are getting high in Sochi and many are stripping to head to the beach. But when photos of a topless Jackie Chamoun, a skier from Lebanon, appeared online a couple of days ago, things heated up really bad for her.
Chamoun had posed for an Austrian ski calendar three years ago. Photos from the shoot, many of them from behind the scenes and never meant to be published just hit the internet out of the blue.
A fuss was created in her mother land and Lebanon’s sports minister Faisal Karami even called the Olympic committee and asked for an investigation into the matter.
She had to apologize for the photos.
“Now that I’m at the Olympic Games, these photos that I never saw before are being shared. It is sad. All I can ask to each of you who saw this, is to stop spreading it, it will really help me focusing on what is really important now: my trainings and race,” she pleaded online.
She may be getting flak from many in her country but the support she is getting from people online, mostly from her own country is overwhelming.
Here are some glimpses of how people are pouring in their support for her:
