After Lance Armstrong and Te’o, the Belgian footballer, Eden Hazard, who plays for Chelsea has sparked yet another sports-related controversy. In this video the midfielder chases the football with ten minutes left in the game. Charlie Morgan, the ball boy fell over the ball which was then retrieved by Hazard in the most brutal manner. He kicked Morgan’s chest along with the ball which must have hurt a lot.

According to the footballer, he was just trying to get the ball and had no evil intentions to kick the 17-year old boy on purpose. Hazard, a Belgian International player, who received a red card for his kick and was thrown out of the field, is now facing both internal Chelsea inquiries as well as inquiry by South Wales Police.

People who have witnessed the incident are making different speculations. Some say the ball boy fell onto the ball on purpose while some say that the time-delay frustrated Eden Hazard and he kicked the boy on purpose.

Whatever be the case, the incident will cast a huge shadow on Eden Hazard’s career in the years to come.

Swansea Captain, Ashley Williams said, ‘I saw Hazard kick him in the ribs. You can’t do that to a little boy,’ while the team manager, Michael Laudrup said that, ‘When Hazard sees the images I think he will regret it’. The incident is currently being investigated by the police, as well as Chelsea Football Club.
