Howard’s conduct remained classy as he didn’t celebrate out of respect to Adam Bogdan, Bolton goalie, “I let him know that I was feeling for him,” the US national team member told Sky Sports after speaking with Bolton keeper Adam Bogdan. “It’s not a nice place to be. I’ve been there before, a long, long time ago, and that was why I didn’t celebrate.”

Howard is only the fourth goalkeeper in Premier League history to score a goal. Everton went on to lose the match 2-1, though.
