Football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo's fandom will soon be the topic of a university course in Canada.
The University of British Columbia Okanagan is set to offer sociology classes on the Real Madrid ace's popularity. It's the brainchild of a professor who watched Ronaldo in action last year and was mesmerized by the magnitude of his fan following.
The professor decided to use the 30-year-old footballer as a case study of international superstardom. It's actually interesting that a university in Canada – of all places – has taken such interest in CR7. Keep in mind that a Canadian TV show recently wished Ronaldo on his 30th birthday, but was so clueless about him that they displayed the picture of Argentina's Sergio Aguero instead.
This is why I hate Canada .... He's the best in the world, you had one job ... pic.twitter.com/AoC8FbWUKH— Jordan Wallace (@WRwally) February 5, 2015
