Good god almighty. We're doomed. "Click Here for Thin Mints: Girl Scouts Now Sell Cookies Online" — http://t.co/vscoUEA823— J.C. Hutchins (@jchutchins) December 1, 2014
Ding-dong! Do you wait for the doorbell every year to order cookies from adorable Girl Scouts? Are you the first one in line at the office to have a go at the order form?
STOP. Don't burn any unnecessary calories. Now you can get your Thin Mint fix on with a few clicks on the world wide web. After years of shunning modern technology, the 112-year-old Girl Scout organization has wiped off their gooey fingers and flipped open the laptop.
In the past, they preferred that scouts engage in door-to-door sales or "boothing" at local businesses as a learning experience. But the prayers of sedentary shoppers have been answered.
"Digital Cookie will also allow customers to help girls learn 21st-century skills grounded in technology, along with valuable interpersonal skills girls will acquire through their continued participation in traditional booth and door to door sales," the organization said.
Mark your calendar - online sales launch December 12th and the traditional cookie selling season begins in January.
