by
Sept. 8, 2014: Excited for the new iPhone6? Apple is all set to host a major event on Sept. 9 during which the company is expected to announce the new iPhone 6, and will probably showcase the latest iOS 8.

Speculation is rife about improvements in the new iPhone version. In fact, related rumors swirled around since January.

For instance, there are reports that the iPhone 6 will probably arrive at $199 for the 4.7 inch screen variant, and $299 for the 5.5 inch screen.

A Chinese website Laoyaoba even claimed that the upcoming Apple gadget has a display that provides tactile feedback to users, giving users the impression, for instances, of a physical keyboard on a flat touchscreen.

While is a lot you can read about the new smartphone, we have compiled a concise list of features that you can expect from Apple:

#1: Two New iPhones

Several reports claim that Apple will release two variants of the new iPhone this year -- one with a 4.7-inch screen, the other with a phablet-sized 5.5-inch screen.

#2: Display

The new phone's screen would curve to conform to its rounded corners, according to Japanese website Macotakara.

Apple is also expected to cover the new displays – only in its higher capacity models – in ultra-durable sapphire crystal which essentially means there will be no more battered screens.

#3: Battery Capacity

After Samsung poked fun at Apple’s constantly-needs-charging reputation of the iPhone 5S in July, rumors have surfaced about an upgrade to the iPhone 6's battery – probably 2,100mAh, exceeding the 1,560mAh battery in its predecessor.

Chinese site Digi-wo.com reported that Apple may be upgrading to a new 13-megapixel Sony camera sensor in its iPhone 6.

The company's current 5S, 5C and 4S smartphone cameras offer 8 megapixels.

#6: 1GB of RAM

You can expect the new device to come equipped with a new 64-bit A8 system-on-chip (SoC) along with 1-2 GB RAM, and storage options between 16 GB and 128 GB.

Tech industry has been abuzz with rumors of Apple venturing into the wearable computing market for nearly two years now and it’s possible that the mythical iWatch might be unveiled on Sept. 9.

“Rumors suggest we’ll see some kind of fitness tracking, heart rate sensing, notification delivering smartwatch and activity tracker combo,” TechCrunch reports.
