Apple’s iPad Mini Photos Leaked on Twitter

Apple has yet to announce its iPad mini, but a series of photos posted to Instagram and Twitter have already sparked serious buzz that a prototype for the iPad mini is floating around. The pictures were posted by Sonny Dickson, a researcher for the Apple tech blog 9to5mac, and they do reveal much about the look of the new Apple product.

In one photo, what looks like a scaled-down iPad is laid over the regular size iPad. It is  several inches smaller than its counterpart!

Another leaked photo offers a close-up of the charging port of the device and the lightning dock that Apple rolled out for the first time at the launch of iPhone 5. Apart from leaked photos, rumors have also been making rounds for months that a smaller version of the tablet is on the way.

According to thesources, the iPad mini will have a 7.8-inch screen, which will be smaller than the current 9.8 inch one. Many predict the iPad mini will be another Apple bonanza after the successful launch of the much awaited iPhone 5.
