The head-mounted display “Oculus Rift” was crowdfunded on Kickstarter and the contributors – mainly tech savvy video game players – were quite excited about the project.

However, its purchase by the social media giant shattered all hopes since Facebook is notorious for its profiteering and less focus on the quality of services.
