Those who complained the most about piracymay just be the culprits themselves. Or at least they make up a good part of them.
It has been revealed that employees at Paramount Pictures, Warner Bros., Disney, Sony Pictures and 20th Century Fox are illegally sharing movies games and other forms of entertainment from BitTorrent – the peer-to-peer file sharing program from IP addresses associated with their employers while at work.
Online piracy costs billions of dollars in lost revenue. The Hollywood group is therefore one of the main facilitators of the “six strikes” copyright alerts plan that will begin in the coming year. The main goal of this plan is to educate members of the public about piracy, and point them to legal sources. According to TorrentFreak, plenty of copyrighted material is being shared by employees of major Hollywood studios. They found the data using the BitTorrent monitoring company Scaneye!

Interestingly, it was reported just earlier this month, US's major internet service providers plan to roll out a policy backed by Obama and pushed by Hollywood and the record labels,to disrupt and possibly terminate internet access for online copyright breaches!
