These days, if you have to choose from a PC, a laptop and a tablet; which one will you go for? Definitely not the PC, right? And we do not blame you for your choices.
But we are going to warn you that you shouldn’t be too fast to chuck out your PC – just yet.
True; the laptops took the market from the traditional desktop computers quite some time ago and in turn have been given a tough competition by tablets and Smartphones but the old geezers still haven’t quite lost the battle.
Laptops and tablets are getting more up to date and enviously techy; not to mention smaller, lighter, and hence more portable. So why should you even consider hanging on to a bulky box that takes way too much space in your room?
More upgrade options: An average desktop can take more RAM than a laptop and with a desktop's multiple bays, the drive options open up considerably.
Repair: It's easy to open up a desktop PC, check to make sure the cables are secure, clean out the dust, remove and replace a part. Repairing a laptop or a tablet on the other hand is not that easy and takes considerable skill.
Perfect For Family Use: A stationary computer works much better for you if you if you have children who require monitoring while on the PC compared to the other two options. They are perfect for keeping in a dedicated place like the family room.
Better price/performance ratio: There’s no denying that a PC has high-performance motherboards and cooling systems than laptop any day. According to Amazon, ‘if you're willing to pay the price, there isn't a laptop out there that can keep up with a high-end desktop.’
In short, you will get a more powerful desktop computer than a laptop or tablet for your money if you're willing to give up portability. But portability is not something that can easily be overlooked; can it?
So no one is asking you to chuck out your light-weight super efficient laptops and tablets; just hang on to your PC as well. It will do you more good than harm.
