Samsung Announces Location-based Service Adding Competition To Apple

Apple continues to feel the heat from its nearest competitor Samsung, who announced an iBeacon competitor.

 

Ohhh the pressure is on. The Samsung vs. Apple or vice versa battle continues as Samsung announced the launch of a location-based alert system on Thursday. The systems let businesses send alerts to shoppers.

The Korean smartphone giant said that “Proximity” be even more user-friendly, by baking the service into Android.

Location-based alert services are gaining popularity in the tech world. Similar services are Foursquare and Social Radar
