Burger King Employee Picks Up A Burning Samsung Note 7 With A Glove

As Samsung considers permanently halting to Note 7 sales, a “burning” phone was purportedly recorded in a Burger King in South Korea.

A YouTube video has emerged showing a Burger King employee trying to pick up a smoking Samsung Galaxy Note 7 – wearing an oven glove.

The incident occurred at a Burger King restaurant in South Korea.

The video, purportedly recorded by a customer on a cellphone, shows an anxious worker trying to pick up a Note 7 device that’s burning beside a food tray.

After accidentally chucking the phone on the floor, she eventually is able to pick it up and walk away.

A Samsung spokeswoman confirmed to AFP the device in the clip was indeed a Note 7.

The video appeared online around the same time when the world’s top smartphone manufacturers announced that it is halting the sales of Samsung Note 7, maybe permanently. The South Korean company also asked current users to stop using their devices.

"Consumers with either an original Galaxy Note 7 or replacement Galaxy Note 7 device should power down and stop using the device," the company said in statement.

Although it’s not yet confirmed if Samsung would stop making and selling more phones, analysts say doing so would cost the tech giant around $17 billion.
