The Blind Can Feel Old Memories From Photos With Amazing Technology

With 3d printing, the Braille system for pictures is here, and just as ingenious as it sounds.

A new groundbreaking technology promises to enable the blind and visually impaired to revisit their old photographic memories through the touch of their fingers.    

Called “Touchable Memories,” the said project uses 3D printing technology to create miniature sculptures of photographs that still reside in the memories of the blind but can't be accessed due to loss of eyesight.

It works on similar principles as the world-renowned Braille system, which is used the world over by the sightless to communicate in writing.
